I started writing stories when I was a kid. I’m not anymore. Though I collected a lot of years in my age ‘bank’, my love and fondness for stories did not change. Be it my uncle telling my brother and I story of the Ramayana (a Hindu mythological tale) everyday while he tried to take his afternoon nap with his annoying nephews, or me reading the fantastical tales of the animal kingdom in the fortnightly children’s magazine ‘Champak’ that was a hit in the 90s in India. 

My favorite periods in school were that of the English Language and English Literature. Why? Because it was all about stories and learning ways to tell those stories. There I was, a thin boy (read scarily skinny) who was always daydreaming (and nights too!) about my very own imaginative world of characters ‘with a pinch of reality’. (see what I did there?) 

I guess I always wanted to grow up to be a writer (more of my story probably later) but I did not, probably because I never found a mentor who would guide me how to. I did write bits and pieces of the stories that unfolded in my mind, but as time passed, they remained in my mind and never got to see the paper and pen they deserved. 

So here I am, starting from scratch, a scratch that turned into an itch to write more and take my stories to the world (and beyond).
